BIO - LYNN BISCOTT
Lynn Biscott has been involved in the financial services industry,
as a human resources executive, fee-only financial planner,
and independent consultant, for over 20 years.
Throughout her career, she has been involved in designing and delivering
training programs, and in writing on financial planning issues.
She contributed her expertise to her work on the Panel of Examiners of the
Financial Planners Standards Council
from 2003 to 2009, serving as chairperson from 2007.
Lynn has been a member of the evaluation panel for the
Canadian Securities Institute's Chartered Professional Strategic Wealth
designation program since its inception in 2006.
Lynn holds an M.Ed. in Adult Education from the University of Toronto,
as well as the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and
Registered Financial Planner (R.F.P.) designations.
She is a member of the
Canadian Institute of Financial Planners
(CIFPs), the
Institute of Advanced Financial Planners
(IAFP), the
Retirement Planning Association of Canada (RPAC), and the
Professional Writers Association of Canada
(PWAC).
She has spoken to many groups about financial planning issues,
including Advocis, the Retirement Planning Association of Canada (RPAC),
Freedom 55 Financial, National Bank Financial, CIBC, the Ontario Association of Credit Counselling Services,
and the former Ontario Association of Financial Planners (OAFP).
She has also appeared on CBC, Global TV, City TV, Life Network, TVO,
MOJO Radio, and CFNY.
